The recount of California is requiring all vehicles to be zero-emission starting in 2024, thanks to a recent mandate from the California Air Resources Board. The law, which CARB calls the “first on this planet,”is intended to be a step towards California meeting its long-time length emissions dreams.
The guideline would apply namely to medium- and heavy-accountability vehicles weighing 8,500 pounds or more. Below the mandate, each contemporary truck sold in California will seemingly be zero-emission by 2045, per CARB. It further states that by 2035 the recount will have an all zero-emission rapid-haul drayage rapid in ports and railyards, and that by 2040 there’ll seemingly be zero-emission “final-mile” shipping vehicles and vehicles.
